About Crystal Device


Crystal Device activities are the result of an effective combination of regional know-how from Femto-St Institute. Since the last fifteen years, Femto-St Institute conducted many research studies on the field of materials and their properties, particularly for the needs of applied fields developed in Time-Frequency and Optical departments.

In 2010 and after 4 years of technological developments, Marc BOUVROT-PARRATTE, CEO and founder of Crystal Device, integrates Innovative Companies Incubator of Franche-Comté in order to enhance his works. Crystal Device will be created in June 2011.

In 2012, Crystal Device opens its capital to a regional investor, Invest Franche-Comté, for the growth of the company.

With a 4 people team at the end of 2012, Crystal Device continues its growth in 2013 with the development of international business. In the summer 2013 Crystal Device invested in nanotechnology high precision equipment and ensures its total autonomy for the production of its components through the acquisition of Techniconcept.
From 2014, Crystal Device works on the internationalization of its technological activity. In early 2015, the company decided to make energy harvesting technology its heart business.

Crystal Device is located in TEMIS Innovation, in the Microtechnics and Sciences park, which regroups high technologies companies, research center and laboratories that develop their own know-how and applications in various fields such as R&D in nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, prototyping, metrology, microsystems, materials and micro-engineering, acoustical and optical electronic.

TEMIS micro technology and health’s high-tech, 250-hectare site is conveniently situated at 5-minute drive from the A36 motorway and 10 minutes from the TGV station.

Based in France’s foremost industrial region, this is where businesses, research centers and laboratories come to develop their expertise and applications within such high-tech industries as ticketing systems, watchmaking, luxury goods, optics, connectors, robotics, biomedical, instrumentation, imaging, e-health, etc.
